Testes Slide
Things to Identify:
Tunica Albuginea
Seminiferous tubules
Sustentacular (Sertoli) Cells- supporting cells of the sperm
Type A Spermatagonia- located near basal laminae, undergo mitotic division (2n)
Type B Spermatagonia- go through meiosis (2n), light cytoplasm with distinct nucleus
Primary Spermatocytes- (2n) located closer to the lumen, cell structure not as organized as a Type A
Spermatazoa- (n) pointed nucleus located in the lumen, seed shaped
Interstitial Cells of Leydig- located outside of the seminiferous tubules, produce androgens (testosterone)
